It's the 55th Foundation Day of my beloved school, Highway Hills Integrated School, and its also my fourth year with HHIS and English Family this year. It was not all rainbows and butterflies, but it sure is fun and unforgettable. Those four years surely helped me grow as a teacher, thanks to my co-teachers and mentors. They are a great help.
Going back to the foundation day celebration, each year level have booths assigned to them and just like the previous years, we, in the grade 7, decided to do Kissing Booth again. haha

I asked Ma'am Belle Gambito, our year level chairperson, to put a kiss stamp on my cheek, too. So when the kids saw it, they were so excited to have one too that even though we haven't set up our booth yet, they were already lining up. We also gave them small pieces of papers (for grade 7 only) to present to their teachers to give them additional points.
While everyone is enjoying what the different booths had to offer, inside the gymnasium, a program was ongoing. There are performances both from students and teachers for each grade level. They also announced the winners for the cake raffle in between those performances. One of my lucky students from my advisory class this year was picked.
Why didn't I get any cakes? I bought a hundred tickets! haha I guess I am not that lucky and I do not believe in luck. If I am not mistaken, it is in Rick Warren's book that made me clearly understand why we shouldn't believe in luck. He said that every thing happens for a reason. And, that if ever something good happened to you then that is what's God has rewarded you. If it is something bad, then it should be a lesson for you to learn.
That pretty girl, Kristel, and handsome guy,, Neil with me in the picture above are two of my students from III-Jacinto during my first year of teaching in Highway Hills Integrated School. They visited us and enjoyed the celebration with those younger students they were friends with.
After the program in the morning, all of us teachers had a buffet lunch in our school's gymnasium. I sat with my Grade 7 family with our dear Chairperson (the one wearing a pink dress)
There are also games after lunch, but we decided not to join anymore and just stayed at the faculty room. They said that there are cash prizes for the winners of the games. But if you think about it, there are so many teachers in our school. In the junior high school alone, we already have more than eighty teachers. I doubt we will have a reasonable amount if all of us will join haha
I couldn't take pictures of the events, booths and the performances since we were at the kissing booth. Next time, I will just roam around and take pictures the whole day. Nevertheless, we still had fun and we definitely enjoyed the celebration a lot.
