It's never a good move to read a prequel before Book 1. Haha. When i read Red Queen, some parts weren't that surprising as the Glass Sword scenarios. I kind of guessed what would happen next because I've already read the prequel. So when shade was revealed to be alive in the first book, it came as no shock to me. Another thing is that I expected more from Cal's character but ended up being disappointed at how his character actually sucks. I loved the story of the Singer Queen though. Finished reading all three books, Red Queen, Glass Sword and this Prequel.
