Demonstration Teacher: Mr. Edwin Nolasco
Class: 8-Diamond
Nice to see my previous 7-Charity kids again performing in class discussion and group activities. As usual, I am in charge of taking pictures and documenting the Demo Class. Out of all year levels one of the best stories and topics in my opinion is in Grade 8. The ones in grade 7 are so boring and the stories are quite long so kids do not really find it fun to read. Considering the kids nowadays, they have this love and hate relationship with reading. They love god stories but they do not want to read. They like watching the stories before their eyes, though. That's the struggle for Grade 7 and 9 Literature. In grade 9, most texts are plays so it is much longer than that of the grade 7. Sometimes, it even last days before a lesson is finished.
Anyway, regarding Mr. Nolasco's demo, the kids were very participative and showed that they really prepared well for the demo. They even have costumes for the dance activity and the ones who got the task to sing a song wrote their own rendition of the famous song "Love Yourself". As always, Mr. Nolasco did a great job!
I am kind of nervous how I would fair with mine. haha. All of us will be having a demo class. so far (at the time of me writing this blog) Three of us has already finished showcasing their skills and strategies in teaching. Kudos to them!~
I dread my own demo day. I am not sure if I should use my grade 7 or I would choose one of my senior high kids. For grade 7, I think Unity can definitely be used for a demo, sans my very naughty kiddos, tho. haha.
My student teacher had his demo with them, and they were cooperative and answered questions and did actvities to the best of their abilities. So I'd give them a chance to.
Well, let's see I still have three months to finally arrive at a decision.
