As a yearly tradition of MFPSTA, there are always competitions for teachers during the year-end Christmas Party. Last year, it was a boy band/girl group competition. This year, it's choir competition and Dancesport Competition.

I was only able to practice twice since I joined late and was sick for the last day of practice. I told Ma'am Castor that I won't join anymore since I didn't practice as much as they did and I might drag them down if I do join the group. However, she convinced me to join though since we might be disqualified if we aren't an exact 20 members in the group so I joined.
I love singing so it wasn't that hard to convince me. And being a choir member for years gave me confidence that I can pull through even with just two sessions of practice. In the first day, I didn't really sing but just listened to them. On the second day, I sang but not too loudly so as not to distract them if I make a mistake. I practiced at home alone and listened to the recorded alto part all day long. Even when I was sick, I listen to the recording and sing the song in my head in bed. lol

Our costume looks so grand, too! Thanks to Ma'am Charlyn Castor and her choirmates at church. They lend us their gowns. Don't we look stunning? Unfortunately, we only got third place. It's saddening because we gave our very best to win. But, it's okay. It's just for fun. The experience was also something I will treasure for a lifetime.

A very big thanks to the best conductor in Mandaluyong, Sir Hector Reyes. Without you, we won't be able to perform to the best of our abilities. You truly brought the singer out in us. haha.
