This year, I was not on the list of Teachers who will be serving in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election at Highway Hills Integrated School. I wanted to volunteer, though, since I've been serving for the Election for the previous three elections, and we will get five-day service credits we can use in the future.
My co-teacher friend told me she will go to the COMELEC office to have her name listed in replacement for another teacher who won't be able to serve. She asked me if I wanted to serve, so I said yes, and she told the COMELEC official. They asked her to list other teachers who want to volunteer. Unfortunately, three of us were assigned to a different school because there were no available slots at HHIS anymore. All slots had already been filled. All three of us, Mrs. Jimenez and Ms. Encarnacion, were assigned to lead three polling precincts as Chairpersons.
We had our seminar last May 9, 2018, at the City of Mandaluyong Science High School. The Seminar lasted for about two hours. We were oriented on our duties and responsibilities as Electoral Board and our rights and privileges. I couldn't take pictures because while the seminar/training was ongoing, I was audio recording the whole thing. Too bad this wasn't documented. haha.
