I planned to go to STRAY KIDS Day 1 and 2 concerts but plans changed, and I had to prioritize what to spend my money on. And at the moment, a concert show wasn't one of them. If you read my previous blogs, I applied for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program and need to save money to prepare my application requirements and many more. If you are curious about that you can read my blogs here.
However, I felt so sad, because it will probably be the first and the last time I will be able to see STRAY KIDS in the Philippines since at that time, I was waiting for the result of my JET Program interview and demo. If I pass, then I will leave for Japan by August. I even bought my Nachimbong for it, but...sigh.
So to cut the long story short, I was extremely sad I won't see the kids. To top it off, I feel so stressed at school and anxious waiting for my application's result. On the ticketing day, I was bombarding my friend with messages hoping she'd be able to buy a ticket because the queue was just too much. Haha. I was thinking, if she can't get one, I'll ask some online friends to buy one for her. To my surprise, she sent me this message:
She actually bought two tickets for both of us. I was flabbergasted because I still haven't completed my payment to her for the previous amount I borrowed from her. I was happy, but I was like 'Oh my God! Yay! But how am I going to pay this on top of the others?" haha.
She didn't really say to pay for it, but I made a note on my 'listahan' to pay her for this. She's a kind and great friend, but I cannot take advantage of that. lol. But, I'll probably be able to pay for everything when I finally get to Japan (Yes, I already received the result of my application. I passed and will be leaving for Japan in August! Yahoo~). I'm so excited for the next stages of my life, for me and my family!
Anyway, going back to my story about seeing STRAY KIDS (I am so random. I know.) I booked a room for us near MOA Arena, so we don't need to go home after the concert. It was the same room my co-Inseos and I booked when we watched WINNER's concert. I booked it early (a few days after my friend told me we were watching the concert together) so the amount wasn't that expensive. It only costs around 2k plus. I don't really remember haha So I told her not to pay for that anymore. It was still early so I watched Jujutsu Kaisen to pass the time while waiting to finally go to MOA Arena. We found the queue for the strapping and verification. They gave us the concert banner (Narito kami, and inyong tahanan), pink cloth for the fan project, and the concert photocard as a souvenir. We still have some time so we went to buy something to drink. The lines to the entrance were long and took us a few minutes to get inside. At first, they mentioned how we need to show our vaccination cards. But when we passed the gates, the guards didn't really ask for it. Good thing because my friend didn't bring hers. Who asks for that in 2023? lol. When we went in, we got lost on the way to our seats. we went the wrong way (longer route) but we'll get there either way.
The seats she got were really good. It's the center and we could see everything clearly on stage. It's far yes, but I can just zoom my camera to see the kids closer. My friend preferred to sit on the floor though. She said that it's more comfortable and she can see the stage from there a lot better.
I joked that if I jump while enjoying the concert, I might go fall straight onto the stage. hahaha Just like in the previous concerts I have attended, the crowd sings along to the music playing while waiting for the concert to start. It was something I really missed when the pandemic hit the country. Another online friend was there somewhere on the lower floor seats. She said that she was contemplating if she'd buy a VIP standing one or a seated one. She opted for seated because of Tita problems. Haha I met her I think during one of WINNER concerts. She's a fellow VIP, INSEO, and STAY.
The concert was so fun, but it's sad that Han wasn't feeling that well on Day 1. I enjoyed it nonetheless and my body hurt from so much jumping and Lightstick waving haha. I wish we could watch Day 2, too. Chan sang Ikaw by Yeng Constantino. huhu Bang Chan is my bias by the way. hoho. They will probably have another concert in the Philippines, sadly, I won't be able to watch them anymore.
