Anong landas ba ang tinatahak ko?
Landas na baliko, pero totoo?
Landas na diretso, pero mapagbiro?
Tila ba isang malaking palaruan
Hinabol mo ako, tumakbo ako palayo.
Malayong malayo hanggang sa makakita ka ng iba.
Ibang hahabulin, kaya't huminto ka para sa kaniya.
Sinubukan kitang habulin, ngunit ang layo mo na
Tanaw mula dito, ang tawa at saya
Guguluhin pa ba kita?
Kung ang tanging hangad sayo ay maging masaya,
dahil sa akin– at hindi sa kaniya
Sana hindi na lang tayo naghabulan sa landas na baliko.
Para hindi ka naghanap ng iba at sa paghabol sa aki'y inihinto.
Masakit isipin, ako'y nabalewala.
Pero ito ang sasabihin ko sayo,
Ang lahat ng pagtakbo ko palayo ay pabalik sayo.
Ngunit huminto ka para sa iba.
Pasasalamat sa iyo, na nagbigay ng saya
Ngiti sa aking mga labi na hindi na mabura
Siguro ang ating pagtakbo ay hanggang dito na lang
Isang daang kilometro ang layo sa isa't isa
Hinabol mo ako, hinabol kita.

A/N: I have decided to feature works of my students from today on. I voiced out an intent on starting a literary club next year and I'm going to you use my Blog, Teacher's Nook to publish their works (if my co teachers want to join as well it would truly be great!)
In the previous posts, I only publish works of students that they passed as an activity in our lessons or a project I ask them to do. This time around, I'm going to look around posts and notes of students who are potential members of the literary club next year. I'm so excited! ^_^
Sarrah Abigail Betco was one of my students in 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the world. Their class has always been active and their outputs are quite well thought out and done, too. So it isn't a surprise to see how good of a writer she is. I bet there are still a vast number of students in Highway Hills Integrated School we an help polish and improve the writing skills of, both creative writing, fiction, and non-fiction writing.
I can't wait to discover young writers, poets, novelists and dreamers!~ Let's filled the world with your poems and stories!~
