I always love attending workshops and seminars. I'd probably grumble at first, but I'm telling you deep inside I'm really happy. It's always fun meeting other people who are in the same field as I am and seeing how passionate they are for teaching. It makes me want to be a better teacher than I was before.
I was late (not my fault at all, mind you) since we were notified quite late that we will be attending a seminar for five days at Eurotel Makati. And since I was the last member in our group to arrive, I was suddenly pushed to stand in front and explain the work of the group. lol. I'm not really good at expressing myself without me writing it down first so I kind of panicked inside. lol. Yet, it turned out alright, so yay me!
We are the Funtastic10 or f10 for short. Haha. This is the first group I was with for the first and last two days of training.
These are my fellow Teachers of English. Most of us came from the Division of Mandaluyong and only two are from the Division of Pasig. And I would really really love to mention that one of these amazing teachers is actually my critic teacher when I was still a student teacher. I was so happy to see her in the seminar and I'm happy that she still remembers me. Haha She even called me first.
Honestly speaking, if I'm in a place full of many people, I wont even look at them in the face and just walk around and sit in my designated place. So if she hadn't called out my name, I probably won't know that she's there. Unless of course, she takes the center stage to report or share or explai something.
She even told me to apply in Pasig (I'm quite tempted to be very honest since travelling costs me a lot of money plus the heavy traffic tires me out)

At the end of our first day, we decided to hang out at a coffee shop. Usually, I order coffee. But it's already quite late and if I want to still be able to sleep then I cannot have coffee. Haha so I opted for a hot cocoa instead.
I can say that I learned a lot from this 5-day seminar workshop and all the speakers are also a big help. I particularly like the Science Department Head Teacher of Mandaluyong Science High School. She has such a bubbly character and also very smart and articulate. She explains her topics in a way that we will easily understand and relate to and also in a fun way. Who says only kids nowadays enjoys games when learning? We adults also do! Haha
