I've decided to start a new blog. The reasons? Accomplishment Reports, IPCRF, and Teacher's Portfolio. If you are a public school teacher in the Philippines then you probably know why. IPCRF stands for Individual Performance Commitment Form which was introduced to us teachers last August 15, 2015.
This IPCRF will be the tool to evaluate the performance of the public school teachers. And today, I was evaluated.
Prior to today's evaluation, it was very taxing to look back to what things I had accomplished this school year. I do have a blog where I post events in my teaching career but it is also where I post personal stuffs and, therefore, the post were too numerous to browse and scan.
So I thought of starting a new blog where I can post documentation of stuffs I do at school for me to have an easier time writing my Accomplishment Report next year.
Regarding today's evaluation, the Rater told me that getting a score of 3 (which equals to Fair according to him) is already high in DepEd's Standard Score. It doesn't really matter to me. If I get lower or higher than that. I was a bit disappointed, yes. But it wasn't because of the score that was given to me. It was because while being evaluated I realized that so many of things we did during this year weren't even credited and just a waste of paper and space in the Portfolio.
The seminars held in school, if not a division seminar or national one, didn't even get a point. It's just so disappointing that you know in yourself that you did your best and that you did your part and even more but it's still wasn't good enough. That you need to strive harder than what you are already doing. This new system should be motivating teachers and yet when I went to the Faculty Room, all I saw was their glum and sad looks. These teachers, from my three years of teaching in my school, are those who really give their very best when it comes to teaching and activities related to school.
Anyway, I will be posting activities that were held this school year one by one. It was a very hectic year. lol.
